Pathogen shifts, effect of global pneumococcal vaccination, and knowledge on biofilms’ effect on acute and chronic infections has altered how we are currently treating this disease. This course will provide an overview on the etiology of otitis media, the pathogen shift in a post-vaccine era, and recommended antibiotic prescription for children with otitis media.
